Ladies, beware if your husband has an affinity for sledge hammers! I was gone the other night while Josh was at the house working all by himself. He called me up and started like this, "Lindsay, you're my wife, and I know how calm you are and how much you love me." I was very worried....hence the following pictures. I haven't updated in a long time so here it goes. Stop now if you don't want to look at a lot of house pictures. If you're interested....why then keep on reading.
This is the newly upturned kitchen. The original plan was to lay new linoleum and replace the refrigerator. If you look closely, you'll realize that we also no longer have countertops, a sink, any appliances, cabinet doors, and we now have holes in our walls. The latter is in attempt to correct a lot of bad electrician work done over the years.
Kitchen wall holes.
Another shot of the upturned kitchen.
Almost finished bathroom.
Newly tiled shower area.
This baby is going to be painted an "everlasting sage in a week or two." Say good-bye to the blue. We did already paint our doors red, which we're very excited about.
My first garden success.
This garden is what makes me smile, and what makes Josh think his wife is a little crazy. I probably care about it a little too much, okay a lot too much, however when he tastes how yummy these beans are going to be, I think he might change his mind.
Simone's room with evidence of things already being moved in!
This going to be our office. Josh surprised me with a hunter green accent wall, which I really like a lot.
If you didn't see any originals of our house....trust me.....Josh is amazing. I think he's going to need a nice long vacation when all of this is done. In the meantime he plans on reroofing our house next weekend. Hint, hint, if none of you have plans, you're all invited to help.

I am going to be going through the same things with my mom's kitchen this summer. She has asked me to go to town and fix it up for her, so if I need any pointers on how to use a sledge hammer, I will have to ask Josh.
Looks like a lot of work, but a lot of fun too! It is fun to see your blog. Hope your gareden also continues to thrive. Hope you are having a great summer. Love Jen and Eric
Everything looks so great! I am beyond impressed, you two. The bathroom looks incredible. I love the hunter green accent wall (way to go, Josh!) and am very excited about the sage exterior. You both have amazing taste. Josh, way to take initiative on the kitchen. I can't wait to see what happens there, too!
