This past weekend Josh challenged Michael and a friend, John Parrish to a triathlon. It was Josh's 2nd one this summer, but the first one that he actually trained for. The swim was wimpy, the bike was insane and the run was okay. All I know is that we drove the bike ride the night before and after the 3rd or 4th uphill I decided I was glad I sat this one out. (There were many more hills than that.) Anyway we had a great time and all of the boys did very well. Here's some shots of them running and after a hard finish.
We found this Criterium race going on during our Sunday walk. Josh was, as Micheal so eloquently put it, "happier than a kid in a candy store." We had to watch and were amazed at the speed. It was fun.
We were also very humbled when we went on a walk to see the bridge collapse on 35W. This isn't a bridge anyone of us takes on a daily or even weekly basis, however is a highway we use all the time. We're grateful to all be okay. We do feel and pray for the families that have suffered losses.
