Josh and I have listed 3 things on craigslist in our lifetime. The first was a refrigerator, that ended up having problems, therefore, we pulled it off before we even sold it. End of story.
These second two postings were posted 2 weeks ago. Josh wanted to get rid of his snowboard, bindings, bag and boots while he could still make some money on them. Being married and living in Minnesota apparently isn't conducive to hitting the slopes every weekend. (I was actually the nostalgic one that didn't want him to sell it, mainly for the memories.) However, when Josh told me all of the hockey gear he planned on buying, I was all for selling the snowboard so that he could buy his new gear. The moral of the story is that craigslist really works.....and then some. Josh and I were worried that it wasn't going to sell/work-our solution-post it on craigslist and ebay. I guess we were wrong. Within 24 hours it was sold, on both....whoops! Oh well, we made more than we thought we would and got it off our hands in time for Josh to go buy himself some hockey gear.
The funny thing is that I thought, no biggy, I'll leave the postings on craigslist and eventually they'll expire and they'll be so old no one will see them anyway or even ask about them...wrong again. I posted those things more than 2 weeks ago and still today have been getting multiple inquiries about them. Who knew Josh had such good taste in snowboards or that we had such a hot ticket item? Maybe it was just that snow and the holidays are just around the corner. Whatever it was our faith in craigslist has been planted, I think we'll try it again.
More pictures of the coveted items...
