We went to Chicago last weekend and had a blast. Here's a quick recap with my great photography. This could also be considered a high light/low light recap of the weekend. High light #1: Feeling very urban while riding the "L" to and from the airport and our hotel.
High Light #2: Going to the Shedd aquarium Saturday morning. I snapped a quick picture of Josh feeding the sea turtles ;) We did enjoy the dolphin show and the 4-D movie, it was quite the experience.
High Light #3: or we could also call this the high light to top all other high lights was seeing the play "Wicked." Josh and I are both ready to join Elizabeth's "I love Wicked to death club." We've also enjoyed listening to the soundtrack over and over since we went. Especially #'s 4,7,9 and 11.
High Light #4 : Saturday night we enjoyed a wonderful steak dinner at Harry Caray's. I think Josh liked the personal attendent in the Men's Room the best. Okay, maybe the steak was better than that, but it was comical to have a personal attendent in the men's room.
High Light #5: Saturday night we raced as fast as we could down the magnificent mile to shop as much as we could in as little time as we had. We especially enjoyed the 900 shops where we picked up a diaper bag and some chocolates to die for. I think after one taste we vowed we'd be back any time we were in the neighborhood of Chicago. Our baby girl also benefitted from our visit to Nike Town, she now has some very cute Nike apparel waiting her arrival :)
Low Light #1: These are what drained our pockets of all our cash. They were convenient.....just expensive!
I accidently just deleted the picture of the Navy Pier, but that's where we visited Sunday morning before catching our flight back home.
All in all it was a great trip. Too short, but a lot of fun. We look forward to our next Chicago trip!

Looks like a great weekend, if only Amanda, myself, and bear would have been invited to this family trip. I didn't know you guys packed so much into that weekend, go team stark.
I'm so jealous! It looks like you guys had a fabulous time!
That's great you got to see Wicked and I'm so happy you guys liked it! I love Wicked! I think the music is really fun and I think the play itself is an awesome little piece of spectacle! From the Time Dragon to the monkeys to the super amazing quick change of Boq to the Tin Man, I think Wicked has some of the best special effects of all the shows running right now! Have you guys read the book yet? I actually liked the book a little better. But they're COMPLETELY DIFFERENT so it's really hard to make that judgement call. The play is very fun and upbeat, while the book is very dark, cynical and psychological. If you haven't read it yet you guys really should!
