*****I have backposted a couple of posts, so make sure you read all the way down :) *****
Last Friday we set out to do the impossible. We traveled across the country with a one year old. We knew Simone would be fine, but to say we were worried about Ella was an understatement. To our delight, they were both wonderful, and we had a great time.
Our first stop was Idaho Falls. We swam, ate and spent the night. The next morning we woke up and drove to Yellowstone where we spent the day. Besides the slight delay of Obama's visit shutting down Old Faithful for an hour or so, we also had a great time here. Can I just say how much I love Yellowstone? Where else can you get inches away from a Buffalo, see Old Faithful, take amazing hikes to waterfalls, and observe different wonders of the world. (Let's be honest, how do you really get a "paint pot" or a "geyser." All I know is that they're pretty cool.)
That night we spent in a cabin outside of Yellowstone and then took off for Rapid City the next day. In Rapid City we swam, visited Bear Country and Mount Rushmore. Can I also just say how much I love Rapid City? There's so much to do, too bad we didn't stay longer. Anyway we are now back in MN, but just wanted to share our travels.....here they are:
