The Setting: Our house - yesterday - Adele and Everett napping - Ella contently in front of Caillou - Mom in the shower. **** (Sidenote, for the past 3 months there have been 3 toys cut out from a toy catalog sitting neatly on Ella's nightstand. She reminds us almost daily that these are what she wants from Santa: a light wand, moon dough popcorn machine, inkoos stamp bear.)
Ella bursts into the bathroom with a mix of excitement/disbelief/naivety, "Mom, guess what!"
Me, poking my head around the shower curtain, "what Ella?"
"I FOUND THE POPCORN MACHINE! THAT WAS THE BEST HIDING SPOT EVER!"
I paused for a second and then bust up laughing. Hard. Evidently it wasn't the best hiding spot ever, she's three, and it's December 6th, and she found the stash!
I didn't know what to say, I lamely tried to say something about being good, or that it was possibly for Adele. She didn't buy any of it. And she was really happy!

So I know I always tell you something Hailey's said about Ella, but this was too funny not to tell. The other day Hailey said "Mom I love you and dad most of all" and then she paused for a minute and said, "Actually I love Ella the very most of all, but then I love you too". Haha.
Can I just say, that happend to me 30 minutes ago!!!! I told her Santa came by last night (he did-you know St. Nick left candy in their shoes last night) and told me he didn't have room in his sleigh for the baby doll she found and asked if he could leave it here until Christmas. She bought it (I think)...
