South Shore Triathlon 2012

About 3 weeks ago I convinced Josh and Michael to join me to do the South Shore Triathlon that was held today. I wish that my company was a convincing enough argument for either one of them to sign up, but what really won them over was the swag. They were sold after they saw the sweet bike jersey that they would get, with an outline of the city of Chicago. Either way, we had a great morning. This is one of the best dates Josh and I have been on in a long time!

It was a sprint distance and we had a great time. A quick recap:

Highlights:
- beautiful morning
-biked along beautiful Lakeshore Drive
- PRed with my 5k 27:26
- the kids were great for the baby-sitter

Lowlights:
- the white caps that accompanied the riptide along the shore. (My swim time of 14:19 should actually be considered a "this is how fast Lindsay can walk in shoulder deep, white-capped, Lake Michigan for a half of a mile time" .

I wish I had better pictures of the beautiful course and scenery, but we left the spectators and cameras at home. The best we got was a snapshot with Michael's I-phone before we hopped in the car!

Good work!!! You are motivating me to work out tomorrow morning. I wish I was in good enough shape to do a sprint triathalon right now!

Way to go! And you even beat your husband- that would be the best part for me ;-) You looked so awesome at church yesterday- I thought you were glowing- this is why! You just rocked your triathlon. We have to do one together sometime this next year. I have always wanted to- I just need a friend to help me commit!
