This past week we had Simone in town. Her school was off on a winter break and we had the pleasure of having her with us all week. I'm again, a horrible picture taker, but here is a small recap of some of the fun things we did this week.
On Monday, Presiden'ts Day, we went to the Mall of America. We did some shopping for Hawaii, but the highlight was going to Underwater Adventures Aquarium. I haven't been there in almost 8 years. We enjoyed looking at all of the sea life and sharks. It was good preparation for Hawaii. Although we did not see the posted Shark attack that is pictured below, this exact shark attack did happen at this aquarium. Bright side is that the smaller shark survived the ordeal and is still living.
We also did many fun things during the week that are not listed. We went to Ikea, a first for both of us. We also went over to the Parrish's for dinner and some great Rock Band. Another high light though was meeting up with cousins Lucy and Adam on Saturday for a delicious lunch at our favorite Eddingtons.
We then walked a couple of doors down to Creative Kidstuff for Pirate Day. The kids "walked the plank", "went on a treasure hunt", "got tattoos", and heard a story time on Pirates. It was a fun time and Lucy and Simone even watched "Hook" together at night.
Saturday night Josh and I also went on a date together to the Orpheum. We saw My Fair Lady. The production was wonderful and we really enjoyed it. It took us a while to catch on to the British dialect, but all in all it was a great play.
That's all! Unfortunately Simone had to go back to her mom's yesterday. We enjoyed having you Simone! We had a relaxing Sunday yesterday and now we're here at Monday again. Another day.....another dollar. Okay, maybe I enjoy my job more than that, however, this week is Parent Teacher Conferences......yippee skippee :)
