We decided to wait for the one year cake until we were in MN to celebrate with family! Last night we sang, tried to help her blow out a candle and then we let her have at it.
I promise you that I have never given her cake before; however, with how quickly and how easily she devoured it you would think it was a nightly occasion. We set a piece in front of her, she gave us a look saying, "thank-you." And she had it. No hesitations, no questions, she dug right in. She makes me proud!
