Adele, helping dad to make her crib into a big girl bed.
Adele had a big summer. She's made huge strides in becoming a bonafide kid. No more toddler-ness for her!
1.) In June she gave up her pacifier. It took about two weeks of crying when she went to bed, and a couple of meltdowns demanding that she needed her "paca", but all in all wasn't too bad!
2.) In August she was potty trained. Honestly she was a rock star. She had 4 accidents that first morning and then got the hang of it. She's had only a handful of accidents here or there since then, and she hasn't looked back!
3.) In September we made her crib into a big girl bed. She's doing well, but we've still had some bumps here or there. She does stay in her bed, but we've had an occasional visitor at 2 in the morning. She has also begged to take her nap in Everett's crib a handful of times. All in all we can't complain. These are huge life changes in the life of a 2 year old, and she is doing great!!!
Good Job Adele! We love you so much!
P.S. The comical thing about her 2 am bedroom visits is that she crawls between Josh and I and then starts ordering everyone around like she owns the place! "You're squishing me!" "This is my pillow!" "Scoot over!" She's lucky she's cute!
